Steve: I have always loved buried treasure stories, especially sunken ships. When we were young, dad bought a metal detector. We went to the farm where he grew up and searched around where he knew a house once was. We found some old mercury dimes and some old pennies. It was great, I have been infatuated ever since . So that explains my blog name. I will own a “piece of eight” one day, but I want to acquire it honestly. I want to find one while walking on a Florida beach after a huge storm.
